Kevin, over to you:

Hey y’all, it’s me Kevin with FitMenCook. Ok, so I’m really excited about today’s recipe because it has two of my favourite ingredients, the first one is Labrada ISO Lean Pro protein powder, which I pretty much use I use every day in my protein shakes and when I’m cooking and baking, and the second one is a superfood. I’m going to show you a really easy way to make some power protein balls, so you can unleash the inner warrior in you.

So superfoods date way back to ancient civilisations, when you think about the Egyptians, and the Incas and the Minoans. And these miracle power plants were basically an integral part of their diet and pretty much the secret to them being so epic. One of my favourite ones is called spirulina, and it’s made by this company called Organic Burst. Spirulina contains 60-70% protein, and it’s 4 times more absorbable than beef, 1 tbsp of this is 3grams of protein and this is a plant! It’s also been known to increase your exercise performance, and it’s been known to increase your fat burning effect. So we’re going to be adding these to the protein balls, so we can be epic too! Alright, grab a pen so you can find out what you need:

Ingredients (to make 10 balls of 50g):

3 scoops Labrada ISO Lean Pro
Organic Burst Spirulina powder
½ cup raw almonds
4 tbsp flax meal (or flax seeds)
10 dried dates (pitted)
½ cup dried cranberries
1 tbsp raw organic honey
1.5 tbsp coconut oil
½ cup crushed pistachios

Method:

Mix protein powder, almonds and flax seeds in the blender.
Add dried fruit, coconut oil and honey.
Mix with a spatula to loosen the mixture before blending.
Pulse blend into a sticky batter and refrigerate for one hour.
Weigh the batter to determine individual ball size.
Add ½-1tsp of Organic Burst Spirulina powder to each ball and roll in crushed pistachios.

BOOM!
