Call of the Sea - Easkey Britton
Easkey Britton, Ireland's current and 5 times National Surfing Champion, is truly unique. Not only a passionate sportswoman, but a marine conservation volunteer, an artist, a writer and a PhD student in Human Wellbeing and Coastal Resilience.
Born into Ireland’s first family of surf on the wild west coast of Donegal, Easkey travelled the world from an early age, surfing some of its heaviest waves. She became the first Irish person to surf the infamous hell-wave Teahupoo aged just 16 and hasn't looked back since.
OB: "It’s admirable how much you love the ocean. Where does your passion for surfing come from?"
